I read the story about Kanye West in the Boston Globe. It always makes me laugh to read such stories. His patience and tolerance must have run out for the day, or someone was in his face, uninvited. I had the opportunity to paint Mr. West during the MTV VMA weekend in Las Vegas in 2007. He performed at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel. I painted live off to the side. Rolling Stone Magazine also celebrated its 40th year. It was quite a night. He put on an amazing show. I lose my cool from time to time, I'm human. Mr. West is a human as well. The painting I did of him is a visual of a popular term "Blowin' Up". If I behaved the way the papparazi did to any other person, I'm sure they would react the same way. Wouldn't you?
